Nutritional Counseling

Nutritional Counseling

Nutritional counseling is a type of assessment made which analyzes various health needs in regard to diet and exercise. A nutritional counselor helps people to set achievable health goals and teaches various ways of maintaining these goals throughout their lifetime.

Nutrition is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Without proper nutrition, one does not have enough energy to make it through the day. Also, health declines without proper nutrition, making one more susceptible to illness and disease.

Genomix

Genomix Nutrition is proud to introduce the most comprehensive nutrigenomics test available to validate your specific nutritional supplement needs. The scientific study of individualized genetics and nutrition is known as nutritional genomics or “nutrigenomics”. Nutrigenomic testing accurately identifies each patients’ genetic protein variations to identify sites of metabolic weakness. These key proteins are involved in enzyme conversion, nutritional delivery and signaling pathways in the cell. Our expert physicians have designed a genetic panel that evaluates up to 55 of the most common, research backed single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that can affect a patient’s ability to regain and maintain their metabolic functionality. Abnormalities in specific polymorphisms can negatively affect many physiological and metabolic processes. Overcoming these metabolic weaknesses with the right supplement allows each patient to overcome their genetic weaknesses (SNPs) and maintain optimal health.

Immuno Labs

The Immuno Bloodprint®, based on a highly respected technique called the IgG Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA), can identify over 154 ‘trigger’ foods causing intolerance. Since white blood cells only remember the foods that were a problem for approximately two months, in most cases, the reactive foods can be gradually re-introduced into the diet. Additional testing can also be done for Candida Albicans (an overgrowth of a natural yeast that occurs in the body); gliadin sensitivities (the protein component of gluten); and Helicobacter Pylori (the causative agent for most cases of gastritis, duodenitis and ulcers). IgE testing for harmful environmental substances such as molds, dust, weeds, pet dander, etc., can also be performed. Within 72 hours, comprehensive test results are provided in a complete package that includes a report detailing the detected hidden food allergies along with a personal wallet-size reference card; a wide list of foods that can be enjoyed; recommended meal plans; helpful shopping hints; and recipes. Patient support is also available at no additional cost to ensure compliance.
